Hi guys! It's been a long time since I have debated with quite a number of people on how to build my Windwalker. And after a year of experimenting and some Skill Resets, I finally found a build which is a perfect fit for my style.
Explanations are attached at the end of the skill tree.
Archer Skill Tree
Acrobat Skill Tree
Windwalker Skill Tree
Right, so, the majority of questions people drop on me would be why I maxed Multi-shot and not Twin Shot? Well, my answer is simple: it's because I prefer Multi-shot over Twin Shot. Both skills have very good DPS when raised to level 21+, and although Twin Shot has a longer range and quicker cool down, Multi-shot has awesome SA break and complements my close-range fighting style.
I believe this build will work well on both PVE and PVP as it can deal great damage yet all evasive skills are maxed as well. This build is, as you can see, semi-pure. I sacrificed 2 SP points from Blooming Kick to max Chain Trampoline and Tip Tops as both are important jump skills. Blooming Kick, on the other hand, does not have a very high jump in DPS after level 6 and has a max 100% stun already reached by level 8.
As for the two level 32 skills, I decided to focus on Cyclone Kick instead of Spiral Vortex even though a lot of people say that even with a higher max damage output, Cyclone Kick is very difficult to maximize than Spiral Vortex, thus, more people choose Spiral Vortex for its better DPS capability. I partly agree to this point, especially now that Spiral Vortex can actually be left alone while the player deals extra damage. But with enough practice, I believe anyone can push all the kicks in Cyclone Kick within any enemy's hit-box. Also, with the EX available, I think Cyclone Kick is a league more formidable than before.
I also leveled Double Somersault Kick (DSK) to 15 (I recommend getting a skill necklace for this), and sacrificed Spiral Vortex by downgrading it to level 6. This is because DSK actually has an enhanced version after Eagle Dive which gives it an additional damage of 20%. Also, since Eagle Dive is a great SA breaking skill, it ensures critical hits for DSK. Also, since DSK does not need to cool down, you could combo it as much as 4x (with Spirit Boost) within Spiral Vortex's cool down (20 seconds in PvP, 23 seconds in PvE): Eagle Dive>DSK>Binding Shot>DSK>Blooming Kick>DSK>Eagle Dive>DSK.
If you would ask me for plates, I strongly recommend getting an Eagle Dive Plate (Damage +20%), Spiral Edge (Damage +20%), Spirit Boost (CD reduction), Rising Storm (Damage +20%) and/or Cyclone Kick (Damage +20%).
I hope this skill build has helped some of you confused Windwalkers out there. We all have different combos that work well with us and I'm quite happy to share mine. I hope you'll find a perfect build for your gameplay as well. Just experiment and keep kicking stuff
