1. Stage 1 - Dark Crow
2. Stage 2 - Tree
3. Stage 3 - Flame Ghost
4. Stage 4 - Wind
5. Stage 5 - Wolf King
6. Final Boss
Stage 1- Dark Crow
The easiest part of the nest. There are 4 eggs around the field that you need to break open in order to click the sticks coming out of them. Once you have clicked all 4 of the sticks, you need to click the stand that the crow is standing on to allow you to go into stage 2.
There are only 2 main things to note:
1- There is a bar at the bottom of your screen that is the crows threat detector. If you look at the crow you will see a large black eye above his head. When this eye is completely black, it means you can move freely and the threat detector bar will not fill. However if the eye is a bright yellow, then the threat detector will fill up bit by by every time any player in the field moves. If it fills up to the top, then it will trigger the crows aoe that deals very very high damage.
2- If you accidentally triggered the aoe, don't panic. Simply go back to one of the eggs you broke as fast as possible. The light coming out of them provides you with an invincibility buff that will protect you from the crows aoe.
The aoe deals very high damage. But fortunately it's not a party wipe.If things go bad and you can't get to an egg fast enough, it's possible to tank it with damage reduction skills if ofcourse you have high hp and high magic defense. Even in the past, i've ran with saint's where the aoe was accidently triggered and they were to far from the eggs. So they used miracle relic and holy shield then tanked the aoe.
2- Stage 2 - Tree
When you start he will ALWAYS do his slow rush. 2 green acorns will drop behind him and they will form 2 green circles. First thing you should do is stand in one of the circles to get a 15 second buff ( iirc). This buff will protect you against the Tree's fire aoe that he often uses directly after the slow rush. If you don't have the buff and you stand in the fire, it will deal heavy damage as well as induce a burn on you ( deals like 50k per tick iirc? haha XD ) and remove any buffs you have on ( with the exception of some such as blessing of earth buff or dragon buff).
Also the other thing to watch out is when he shout's, he'll send out a couple of bats that will chase down the person who has agro and if they hit you, will deal medium damage as well as blind you for a few seconds.
Dps his first hp bar and then his second aoe will ALWAYS happen the moment he reaches 3x ( which can be annoying in a speed run). This aoe causes him to become invincible and shoot out 4 brown acorns. You MUST destroy these acorns as fast as possible. If you fail to do so they will explode dealing damage to you. Each acorn deals %25 of your max hp and can't be damage reduced by skills such as flame vortex and miracle relic. He does this aoe every 60 seconds or so.
From then on it's pretty much rinse and repeat till 2x where he'll get another attack similar to the dark knight in ddn's red waves. Just stay away from the marked spots on the ground and you'll be fine.
Once you beat him, go to the green light in the center. This light will fully heal your hp and mp.
3- Stage 3 - Flame Ghost
Flame ghost is annoying. But once you figure out his attack patterns he isn't that bad. The number one thing to watch out for is his fire attacks. Getting hit by any of them will induce a burn that ticks for about 30k per tick ( iirc). When you enter he will usually either do a fire version of crescent cleave or swing his scythe 3 times. Move accordingly to avoid getting hit by the blades. His other attacks is a slight blow back followed by a black hole and a direct scythe attack. Just gotta stay out of his way when you see the small blowback and you'll be fine there. He will rotate between those 3 skills for the rest of the fight.
The main things to watch out for him are:
1- When he summons the exploding ghoul
When he summons the ghoul, a random person in the party will be marked with black marking on top of their head ( similar to DDN final boss phase 3). The flame ghoul will chase after the person with the marking on their head. If they catch up to the marked person, they will explode and deal %50 of your max hp to you and your team mates. If the ghoul isn't killed before a couple of seconds and is still chasing the person, he will still explode and deal %50 of your max hp to you and your team mates. Simply putting it, once the ghoul is summoned, everyone attack the ghoul and kill him quickly. The flame ghost will summon the ghoul again every 90 or so seconds.
2- His firewall aoe.
The moment the flame ghost loses his first hp bar, he will disappear and reappear at the the edge of the map. Everyone will get blown back to the other side of the map from him and this will remove all buffs and debuffs on you. From then on you need to get to the other side of the map to stop the aoe. Just pass through the blue lighted areas and once everyone reaches the edge where the ghost is, it will cancel the aoe. However you don't make it to the end after a couple of seconds, he will immediately kill anyone who didn't make it.
Fastest approach is to simply Tab your weapons away and run. Every class should be able to make it. Having small speed boosts from wings or the nice speed boost from spirit boost/wax helps here to get you to the edge faster before the aoe wipe.
3- Dps stage
This mechanic only starts as soon as the flame ghost hits 2x. A random party member will be teleported to a small area filled with shades. You have exactly 30 seconds to kill all the shades. If you fail to do so you will immediately die. The rest of the team will still fight the ghost while you're fighting the shades. Most classes should have no issue with this since the shades don't have that much hp ( about 1 mill each or so). Only thing that might make you die is if you have very bad gear.
Once you beat the ghost, you will get a silver chest that usually drops a few gems. Sometimes though it has a chance to drop a 70 A jade.
4- Stage 4 - Wind
Pretty simple stage really somewhat similar to the dark crow stage. You have 100 seconds to get to the top and break the egg up there before a almost party wipe. Every few seconds the tree will blow a powerful wind that hurts you, removes any and all buffs and pushes you further away from it. If you don't reach the final egg before the 100 seconds is up, it will use a death wind that will kill everyone.
Simply break the nearest egg, click the stick and keep moving. When you see a message pop up ( it says some stuff about a powerful wind is coming), immediately hide behind the nearest rock and it will protect you from that wind. Rinse and repeat till you get to the top.
Just a few things to note:
1- The rocks can fake you and fall down while you're trying to hide from the wind. The way to tell which rock is a safe one and which one is not is to look at the faces on them. One rock looks like it's crying. This rock will never fall down and is a safe one. The other rocks look like their angry. These rocks will sometimes randomly fall down and aren't exaclty the most safest ones.
2- If you have very high hp ( usually about 600k-800k or so is enough) and good magic defense, you can tab weps and run up to the top given you have good wings with good movement speed. You'll survive by tanking the hits and can break the egg and click the stick before the timers up ( that's what i did when i was soloing mist nest on my elestra lol).
3- The wind that comes will always remove all your buffs. If you're an acro, you may wanna wait till the first wind comes then use Spirit boost ( or is it called spirit exceleaciton? Meh not sure about SEA's skill names, sorry >_< ) then use it so you can get to the top faster.
4- If you stand at the very bottom of the hill, you will not be hurt by the wind. If someone died in the previous stage a little while before the ghost died, and they are still in ghost form, you can get them to rush up to the top of the hill as a ghost, then revive and break the egg and click the stick. Less of a headache sometimes than having to try to get to the top.
5- Stage 5 - Wolf King
This stage pretty much works in 2 parts.
Part 1:
The wolf will be invincible and you need to lure him near the tree's. Break the tree's and get the wolf to be hit by the them ( indicated by a black circle on the ground). When he get's hit by it, he will be unconscious for a couple of seconds. During that time you burst down his hp as fast as you can when he stops being unconscious, he will once again become invincible and you will have to do break the tree onto him again. This cylce will continue until the wolf king reaches 2x hp bar.
Part 2:
Once the wolf king reaches 2x, he will no longer be invincible and will become pretty aggressive. Most of the time you'll find yourself chasing after him or dodging his heavy hits lol.
The things to take note about:
1- At the end of every hp bar the wolf will disspear, reappear in the centre and do his aoe attack. This aoe attack pretty much involves you and your team mates moving consistently while having to dodge shots fired at by other wolfs ( indicated by the orange light's aiming at a random player). If anyone loses their footing and fall's into the flame pits around you, it will cause everyone in the team to receive heavy damage ( sometimes enough to one shot some people with low hp). Trust me when i say this, you REALLY don't want to be that guy who got his team killed cause you didn't dodge lol...
This aoe goes on a for a few seconds and then you continue to fight the wolf king.
2- Wolf buff ( at 23:48 at in the video)
Sometimes the wolf will do an attack where he blows everyone away and different parts of the field will blow up. During this time you have a couple of seconds to attack him and try to reduce the blue bar to 0. If you fail to attack him enough and get the blue bar at the bottem of your screen to 0, he will receive a powerful attack buff that can result in some lower defense and hp classes ( like academics) to get one shot from most of his skills. Another option is if he's standing near a tree, you can break that tree and if it falls on him, it will knock him out and stop him from buffing.
3- Chase (27:06 in the video)
The wolf will drag his axe on the floor and start chasing a random person with the same black symbol as the ghoul used. This person has to dodge the follow up attack and avoid letting it hit his team mates. Just dodge and it will be fine =P
The rest of the attacks are pretty self explanatory from the video.
I would however like to talk a bit more about the wolf's aoe. There are more than one way to deal with it that is not shown in the video above. These are as follows:
1- It is possible to cancel the wolf's aoe completely if a priest uses detonate at the correct time. For the first 2 bars detonate will not work cause the wolf is invincible, but after the invincibly is removed, if you use it at the right time, it will break his SA and cancel the aoe completely. For Mist Nest it's pretty useful at the last bar. But where detonate really shines is stage 3 of Aru Ardenal Challange nest ( i.e the lvl 70 " hell mode") where the wolf will again use the aoe but does not have any invincibility at all making it possible for you to cancel his aoe every hp bar. Simply putting it, if you play a priest, it would be wise to have lvl 1 detonate in order to prevent this annoying aoe ( which often gets people killed).
2 - If you do get into the aoe and fail to cancel it, saint's usually quickly put down miracle relic and cast holy sheild. This helps reduce the damage from the aoe to be as minor as possible to avoid getting people killed.
3- It's possible to use the falling tree to know out the wolf while you're doing the aoe. This is a popular method in cdn atm. Simply you get 2 tree's to very low hp. Pull the wolf to one tree and then make that tree fall on him. After the quick dps burst, and after the wolf dissapears to reappear in the middle, you quickly run to the other tree with low hp and kill it right before the aoe starts. If you kill it in time, the tree will fall down and cause the wolf to cancel the aoe. If you don't do it fast enough, you will have to do the aoe mechanic.
Any of those 3 methods helps make this stage easier.
Once you kill the wolf, another silver chest will be available. Again it drops a couple of gems and has a small chance to drop a 70 A jade.
6- Final Boss
The final boss stage works in 2 parts:
First part:
You have to fight the Tree, Flame Ghost and Wolf King again ( which is annoying lol). At the same time you have to dodge the attacks from the final boss, The Weeping Mist Queen ( which are indicated by the blue lights on the ground). You can not hurt the Mist Queen until you kill the other bosses...again lol..
The bosses retain almost all their same skills and mechanics ( such as the flame ghost summoning the flame ghoul and so forth) so i will not go into detail about that again. The only things to note is that at the end of every one of those boss fights, you have about 15 seconds to break the nearest egg, click the stick and move to the next stage before the timer is up. If you don't make it in time, the Mist Queen will use the Dark Crow's aoe on anyone still in the previous area.
Rinse and repeat till you beat beat all 3 of the bosses then you can fight the Mist Queen.
One extra note before i forget. While fighting the tree again, when he does his invincible pose, it means the mist queen is going to stomp the ground 3 times. Look at her hand and wait for it to become a fist before jumping. Additionally you can i-frame the stomp if you're class has a skill with an iframe.
Second Part:
When you killed the last boss and moved into the final boss area, you pretty much reached the second most easiest part of the entire nest lol...
The Mist Queen for the most part is pretty easy and straight forward. But very very annoying lol.
Before 3x she uses 3 main skills:
1- She drag's her arm across a certain part of the map indicated by the blue light that deals heavy damage. Just stay away from the blue area's and you'll be safe.
2- She blows you back with a wind then ALWAY'S does her aoe attack.
First this wind does no damage, but just like the tree that blow's wind, it will remove any and all buffs you have. Remember to rebuff when you get the chance.
After she blows you back, she will ALWAY'S cast a large aoe where you have a few seconds to run into the nearest green bubble. Failure to do so will result in you receiving massive damage ( sometimes enough to take some classes form %100 to %0 ). She will do this 3 times straight and most of the time the bubble's form on the other side of the map from the last one. Smartest thing to do is to tab your weapons to help you run faster so you can make it to the aoe.
3- Vines.
This attack pretty much almost always happens after her triple bubble aoe. The vines will come and bind you and you have to spam ADADADA to get out before she drag's everyone into a spot then hits you. She does this attack quite frequently and it can get annoying cause it by passes even iframes lol.
Also an additional thing to note, the vines will bind EVERYTHING in the map. This not only includes players but some summons. If it binds a summon, it will stop them from functioning. This includes priests heal relic. If the it binds your heal relic, it will cause it to stop healing which might not be for the best if your team mates are almost dead lol...
Now after 3x she gains 2 new skills.
1- Another aoe where %90 of the field is covered in black and a small %10 is covered in green. Simply get to the green part to avoid getting hurt. This attack pretty much screams dps window haha.
2- and Flame Circles (43:32 in the video).
This attack is annoying cause it happens very very fast. A random member of the party get's the black symbol over their head and the mist queen will shoot a ball that creates a fire circle on the ground. These fire circles stay on the field till 5 of them are formed. Anyone who stand's in the circles will receive heavy damage. If you get the symbol over your head all of a sudden, move away from your team mates immediately! During the attack the Mist Queen can not be harmed as well so the rest of the team has to just stay away from you if you have the black symbol over your head haha.
After that it's pretty much rinse and repeat till you kill her.
